Having a laff, innit...

They say that laughter is a good medicine and i've been laughing at two of Paul's jokes all day. I can't help it. They're so funny - i can't stop myself from giggling. I'm in stitches. Tears are literally rolling down my face. Maybe it's the way that he tells them too. With me, laughing and eating don't go together well. I'm in danger of choking on my toast.

Paul: have you heard about the gay Australian?
Me: No.
Paul: he's fell out with his boyfriend and is going back to Sidney.

As soon as i heard that, i was helpless. He followed it up with anotther joke and i was gone;

Paul: Have you heard about the gay carpenter?
He: No
Paul: He always leaves you with a saw behind.

i couldn't speak. For hours...and hours!

  1. Laughter is indeed good medicine. To the extent a while ago there were laughter classes... Which made me laugh.

    1. He has siuch a straight face on him. I think that's why I laughed. One of the funniest ๐Ÿ˜‚ Guys is Aaron. He does the 'concorde' impression which is him next door and the noise he makes in the morning. It sounds just like the Concorde.

  3. Laughing is the best thing! I especially love the type where you laugh so hard that you struggle to breathe :)

  4. I used to know a person who could crack me up like that with very little effort. Don't lose touch with him. He's one of the jewels in your life.

  6. I remember having a fit of laughter like that only a few weeks a go. Something my husband said that got me to laugh uncontrollably. I was so tired and giddy and the more I laughed the funnier it seemed to me. It's how he said it. Sorry, I can't share here.
Laughter is a great outlet to let out stress.

Starting the day with laughter is a great way to start the day.
    Hugs, Julia

  8. On page 354 of HM Government "Political Correctness Manual" it says "Any jokes about gay people are strictly forbidden" and may be referred to a court of law.

  9. It wasn't a joke about gay people. It was just a joke.

  10. Honestly, this country should be one where you can say - within reason - what you want to say.

  13. Hi Terry :)) I think that laughter is really the best medicine as well. Alex always tries to crack me up, especially when he sees my anxiety starting to weasel its way into my day. It always works. He had me laughing uncontrollably this morning with just a little imitation of someone. The dogs are goofy at times and they make me laugh too. It really relaxes a person! :)

  14. Hi Rain :-) I'm surprised that you get anxious ๐Ÿ™‰. You seem like someone I wish I was more like. You're very determined to get things ✅ done.

  15. Hi Terry :) I try to keep it in check, but the burnout gifted me with life-long depression and generalized anxiety. It was controlled with meds for a good 7 years, but I was kind of like a zombie so I gave the meds up and try to control it naturally. For the most part my daily efforts work, but little things can really set it off for no reason. It can be debilitating, but I can't change it now, so I find ways to live with it! :)

  16. Hi Rain :-) I get depression too and the best way of dealing with it is to stay active. Don't overdo it though. When I was younger playing cricket helped me out of it.

    1. Funny you say that, I'm the "over do it" type! :) I have one of those mini trampolines that I jog on for 30 minutes each morning, it helps a lot and if I get lazy for a day or two, I can really notice the difference in my mood. I try to stay busy but also enjoy every little thing I do. It works for the most part!!

  18. I'm very careful about eating and laughing these days. I like a good laugh these days too. It's very rare that I do it. My cousin used to make me laugh all the time. He had a great sense of humour.
