Being a nosy Parker pays off sometimes...

This is a picture of Ben. I caught him completely unaware that he was being photographed which was kind of nice. If only looks could kill...

This is Sophia. She’s a singer with a band called Funk Odyssey. She phoned me up and said she’d be interested in buying any pictures i took of the band. I said ok. This is one of them.

This is my mate Tom helping to erect a marquee. If you drove a car to Sheffield in an hour he’d swear he could do it in half an hour. That’s the kind of guy he is. I asked the boss if i could photograph the crew in action and i’d do him a dvd if he said yes. This is one of the photos i got. Tom pulled a face for my benefit. Either that or he needed to go to the toilet real bad.

The best man at Gavin’s wedding. Gavin is my brother-in-law. Nobody said “why are you taking photographs for?” I didn’t care. All of my weddings were documentaries i’d tell them if they DID ask.

    1. Your desire to photograph everything was the same as mine was.

  2. Another wonderful group of photos, Terry. That best man is a good-looking man...and I don't mean to sound frivolous in making the comment.

Black and white photography has its own unique special charm. I really like black and white.

Thanks for sharing the fruits of your talent with us. :)

    1. Thanks for watching, Lee. I’d get hours of enjoyment reading through a book of Beatles’ photos of when they went to America.

  3. Every picture of yours I've seen so far looks like a story waiting to be told - that's what I like about them.

    1. Thank you. I’m just glad that I wasn’t an alcoholic. I would’ve been a good one.

  4. LOL At Tom needing some "potty time" ha ha, that made me laugh. The first photo was great, if looks could kill really describes that look he's giving you! Great photos!

    1. They’re not what I would call ‘great’ photos. But they’re ok...I suppose.

  5. My comment got lost in space again. So I'm trying again...
Great photos Terry, keep them coming. I find them interesting even though I'm a kind of point and shoot kind of a person and don't know much about the finer points about photography...
My little great grandson was 4 last year and he wanted to use my Canon T1i Rebel camera to take pictures so I let him. He couldn't figure out how to look in the viewer with one eye so he would put the heavy camera on his forehead and would click away and check each photos as he went along. When he got a decent one he would just burst out with such enthusiasm and would show disappointment at the messed up ones. So maybe we have a little future photographer in the family.
    Hugs, Julia

    1. I’m not sure about the canon rebel. I use a canon d40 and a canon d5 mark ii. The hours I had to work to get them were back-breaking. It was my master plan. Best wishes to your son though, Julia.

    1. I’m sure they’re ok but I don’t think they’re any match for Miniaturopolis. They’re REALLY good.

  7. Anything we really love can become an obsession and that's ok because that's how we get good at it!

    Sophia is gorgeous

    1. I’d agree with you normally about something like obsession. Taking a break is always the answer hthough.
