It's great to hear from old friends, as i did today. you never really forget them. The world of blogging is like that and i don't really see it changing to be honest. Bloggers, the world over, share the same thought processes and you often have an affinity with them. They go through the same things as you do. Even though they are miles away, a community spirit develops between you and your readers. Often, you are the reader and you sit there in bewilderment as the story you are reading unfolds before you.

it becomes a regular event and is often like reading a novel. Unlike a novel you can leave a comment for the writer to read. It is this interraction which leads to mutual respect. You can meet your readers, which doesn't happen with a book. They can read your stories too. I'm sure that many writers of books start here. You have to be talented to write something that people pay to read, but it's not out of the question. It can be done. To become popular can take many years of hard work to achieve. Some bloggers don't want to put so much effort into it. It all depends what you want from blogging.

writing a successful blog can depend on what you write about. Maybe you want to write about the things you're interested in. That, in itself, can get you plenty of readers. Writing a blog can be very frustrating and there are lots of blogs that have been abandoned. At the end of the day you must have a passion to get readers wanting to read what you've written.

  1. I think you got it right when you said "it all depends what you want from blogging." I write about things I'm interested in, and if people like it, fine, and if they don't, that's fine, too.

  2. Welcome back. I had no idea what to expect when I put my toe in the blogosphere and have found riches.

  3. Thanks. Blogging became too much to handle. I needed some time away from itto keep my sanity intact.
